Accessibility Statement
Effective April 6, 2026 · Last updated August 3, 2026
Branded Bites LLC ("Branded Bites") is committed to making brandedbites.com accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement describes our current conformance status, the standards we follow, known limitations, and how to contact us if you encounter a barrier.
Our Commitment
We believe that everyone, regardless of ability, should be able to access information about Branded Bites and use our website effectively. We are actively working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
We view accessibility as an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We incorporate accessibility review into our development process, conduct periodic audits, and welcome feedback from users who encounter barriers.
Conformance Status
brandedbites.com targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. We have conducted a self-assessment and third-party review against this standard. As of the date of this statement, we believe the site substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA with the known limitations described in Section 4.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
What We Have Done
The following accessibility features have been implemented on brandedbites.com:
- Skip navigation link: A visible skip link appears on keyboard focus to allow users to bypass the main navigation and jump directly to the page content.
- Semantic HTML structure: Pages use proper HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a single h1 per page with a logical heading hierarchy.
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard. Navigation menus can be closed with the Escape key. Radix UI primitives (used for our accordion and slider components) provide built-in keyboard support including arrow key navigation.
- Visible focus indicators: All interactive elements display a clearly visible focus ring on keyboard focus, using the brand color (#d91e49) that meets contrast requirements against our white and cream backgrounds.
- Meaningful alt text: All images that convey content have descriptive alt text. Decorative images and UI mockups have empty alt attributes or are marked with aria-hidden.
- Form accessibility: Form fields have associated labels. Error messages are programmatically linked to their fields using aria-describedby and aria-invalid, and are announced to screen readers in addition to being displayed in color.
- ARIA live regions: The demo form success state uses an aria-live region to announce confirmation to screen reader users.
- Reduced motion support: Animations and transitions throughout the site are disabled or simplified when the prefers-reduced-motion media query is set.
- Color is not the only indicator: Form validation errors include an icon in addition to color. We do not rely on color alone to convey any meaning.
- Language attribute: The root HTML element declares lang="en".
- Adequate color contrast: Text and interactive elements are checked against WCAG 2.1 color contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3.0:1 for large text).
- Consistent navigation: Navigation elements are consistent in position and behavior across all pages.
- Descriptive page titles: Each page has a unique, descriptive title in the browser tab.
- Structured data: Pages include JSON-LD structured data (Organization, SoftwareApplication, Breadcrumbs) to support assistive technology understanding of page context.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, there may be areas of brandedbites.com that do not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content: Some third-party embedded content or linked pages (such as third-party ordering platforms, partner websites, and app stores) are outside our control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.
- PDF and binary documents: Any PDF files linked from this site may not be fully accessible. We will work to provide accessible HTML alternatives upon request.
- Legacy content: Older marketing assets or images may not have been comprehensively reviewed for accessibility. We update these on an ongoing basis.
- Complex visualizations: Our ROI calculator and data visualizations communicate primarily through visual representation. We provide text labels and alt text where possible; contact us if you need alternative formats.
We are actively working to resolve these limitations. If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please let us know using the contact information in Section 6.
